Container Placement
The first step in placing a
container on your property is to make it easily accessible
to Waste Management pick-up drivers. The container
site should not be located near any overhead wires
or tree branches. To ensure our drivers can quickly
and safely access your container, during winter months,
please keep driveways plowed and sanded and container
site free of snow build up.
Security
If your container is easily
accessible for others to use it, Waste Management
can provide your company with a lock and keys for
added security. Please contact a customer service
representative if you need to secure your container.
Appearance
Please check your container
periodically, as it may need to be repaired or replaced.
We want to ensure that your business location upholds
a good appearance, as we take pride in the appearance
of our equipment as well.
Corrals
As part of an on-going effort
to ensure your property does have a professional appearance,
we offer assistance in enclosing your container. Our
Customer Service Representatives are ready to assist
you with information on enclosures for your container
site.
Front Load Containers range
in sizes from 2 cubic yards to 10 cubic yards. Roll
off containers come in sizes from 15 cubic yards to
30 cubic yards. We also have a wide array of stationary
and self-contained compactors. A Customer Service
Representative will be happy to assist you determining
the correct size for your business.
Container Sizes
Containers are designed to be
mechanically emptyed into the collection truck. For
industrial customers, the containers are removed from
the site and usually emptied directly into the disposal
site. Collection frequency, volume of waste collected
and distance of disposal can determine the size and
cost of the steel container needed.
Sizes range from 2 cubic yards to
10 cubic yards. Since the volume of your business
may change during certain seasons or grow over the
years, it is a good idea to make sure that your container
is large enough to accommodate your business needs.
We have several sizes available and can provide a
larger container if it appears to continually be overflowing
or if you are increasing the number of pick-ups
